Terms of service
These terms of service apply when you use Kofolio. Kofolio is run by Ionite Ltd, company number 13839693, 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("we"). By using Kofolio you agree to them.
What Kofolio is
Kofolio is a free organiser for your companies' details, deadlines and files.
Kofolio is not an accountant, a tax adviser or any other kind of adviser. It is not Companies House or HMRC. It files nothing for you with either.
What to keep in mind
- Public register data comes from Companies House. It can be wrong or late.
- Deadlines and dates are a guide, not advice.
- You stay responsible for your own filings, payments and records. Check anything that matters against the official source.
Your account and your data
Keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Only add data you are allowed to keep.
You own what you add. We hold it and show it only to run Kofolio.
When you use a feature that reads a document with AI, such as the vault, that document is sent to an AI provider to be read: Anthropic, OpenAI (ChatGPT) or Amazon Bedrock, depending on routing.
If you connect your own AI assistant, you approve it on a consent screen and can remove it at any time; its provider's terms then apply to what it sees.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Kofolio. That means no breaking the law, no attacking or overloading the service, no trying to reach other people's data, and no uploading harmful files.
The service
Kofolio is provided as it is. We may change it or stop it. We do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.
Our liability
We are not responsible for losses from relying on dates or register data shown in Kofolio. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending your use
You can stop using Kofolio and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. What happens to your data is explained in the privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We can change these terms and will update the date above when we do.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales can hear disputes, and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also use your local courts.
